Instructions (Downloads)

Required downloads.

Make a folder on your desktop or somewhere on your computer.

1. ePSXe emulator. The most recent version of ePSXe is v 1.9. The emulator has gone through changes, but getting the most recent version is the most stable and runs the most games without issues. The download can be found here.
a. http://www.epsxe.com/files/ePSXe190.zip    for Windows
b. http://www.epsxe.com/files/epsxe190lin.zip   for Linux

Once you have downloaded the required file, I recommend scanning it with an anti-virus program, not because the website is untrustworthy, but because you should always scan files when you download them. Next, extract the downloaded file into the folder.

2. Bios File

Since the various PlayStation BIOS images are copyrighted by Sony, it is illegal to distribute them. For this reason, ePSXe does not come bundled with any of the PlayStation BIOS images. EPSXe still requires the use of a BIOS, so the user must come up with the BIOS on there own.

You now have a functioning ePSXe emulator.
